The water source of Xuanen Lijiahe is located in the northern foothills of the Qinling Mountains and the middle reaches of the Rim River, a first-class tributary of the Ba River in Lantian County. The watershed above the dam site of the reservoir covers an area of 362km2, and the upper reaches are divided into East and West Caiyu. The total length of the East Caiyu is 21km, and the total length of the West Caiyu is 20km, and the main sources of pollution in the water source are the pollution from residents' life and the pollution from agricultural surface sources, etc. The capacity of Lijiahe Reservoir is 52,000 tons. Lijiahe Reservoir has a capacity of 52.6 million m3 and an annual water supply of 61.87 million m3, which is another major water source project in Xi'an after the Heihe River Diversion Project, solving the drinking water problems of more than 2 million residents in Hongqing Group, Textile City Group, Yanliang District, Lintong District, Lantian County, Baqiao District and part of Chang'an District in the east of Xi'an City, and the water supply of more than 2 million residents in the east of Xi'an City.
