Kyrgyzstan's honey is considered the best in the world. Kyrgyzstan won the largest number of awards at the International Bee Federation Congress held Sept. 28-Oct. 4 in Kiev.

Kazim Karaktov, president of the Kyrgyz Bee Association, told a news conference that honey from Atbashi won a gold medal.

Kyrgyzstan's various bee products*** won three gold medals, two silver medals and a plaque from the International Bee Federation. Karaktov explained: "This plaque will be kept in Kyrgyzstan for 2 years.
