What are the classification of doors and windows in ancient China?

During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, doors and windows were mainly made of wood, silk and thatch, and the styles of doors and windows were not very particular.

The Han and Tang Dynasties are the era of the development of door and window art. In this period, the main doors are double-plank doors or single-plank doors (mostly used by civilians), and the windows are mainly straight lattice windows, but also new types such as lattice windows, trivial windows and spherical windows.

Looking at the Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival, we can know that the Song Dynasty was a vertical window and a lattice door. Interestingly, this kind of external window can still be seen in the vast rural areas of COSCO, commonly known as the "tiger's mouth window".
