Yuanmingyuan is located in the northwest suburb of Beijing, adjacent to the Summer Palace. It consists of Yuanmingyuan, Changchun Garden and Wanchun Garden, also known as Yuanmingyuan. Yuanmingyuan was built in18th century, during the Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty (A.D. 1709), and was basically completed in A.D. 1772.
