Traditional water pattern
In the previous article, most of us talked about some terms on the front of ancient coins, such as: country, knight, wheel, etc. In this article, we will focus on some terms on the back of ancient coins.
Before explaining some related terms on the back, I think it is necessary to explain the concepts of "land chapter" and "meat" first.
Zhangdi: The remaining parts (borders, inner borders and characters) after the ancient coins are removed are called Zhangdi, or "meat".
Rotary back: There is a spiral on the back of ancient coins, which we call "rotary back". Simply put, it's a circle of depth marks.
Then we are saying: star pattern, moon pattern, back star, back moon.
Star-shaped pattern: There are dots like stars on the back or front of coins, which we call "star-shaped pattern".
Star on the back: If there are stars on the back of ancient coins, we call them "stars on the back".
Moon grain: If there is a moon bud grain on the back of money, we call it "moon grain".
Back to the Moon: If there is a moon pattern on the back of an ancient coin, we call it "back to the moon".
Finally, moire and water ripple are two special cases.
Moire: If there is moire on the back of money, we call it "moire".
Water ripples: There are water ripples on the back of money, which we call "water ripples".
