How to design the classical courtyard in China? Is there a plan?

Diversity and unity

Unity refers to many aspects in the courtyard, such as form and style, gardening materials, colors, lines and so on. It should be the unity from the whole to the part, but if it is too unified, it will be dull, and if it is ignored, it will be messy. Therefore, diversity is often added to unity, which means that we need to seek unity in change to avoid becoming a hodgepodge. At present, the following three types of courtyards are popular in the world:

1. Natural Courtyard-In the 20th century, people put forward the slogan of "returning to nature". People enthusiastically pursued nature in their daily necessities, and the form of courtyard was no exception.

2. Western-style courtyard-also known as regular courtyard. In today's economically developed society, courtyards are gradually prospering, resulting in a large area of artificial unnatural landscape.

3. Mix and match the courtyard-originally, mix and match and unification are contradictory, but at present, the mix and match application of natural style and western style in the same courtyard has become quite popular and has become a kind of "style".

balanced

Balance means that people have equal interest and feeling in the scenery on both sides and in front of the visual center. For example, in a Japanese courtyard design with dry mountains and rivers, a dry well will be the visual center, and a small stone statue or carved nightlight will often be attached to the dry well, which is not strictly symmetrical, but very balanced and comfortable.

proportion

The proportion relationship needs to be considered everywhere in the yard, ranging from local and global proportions to a small part of each tree, stone and environment. Once the proportion is lost, reviewers can easily find it. Just like human facial features, a proper proportion can be regarded as "beauty", and vice versa.

rhythm

Rhythm is the repetition of similar rhymes in music or poetry according to certain rules. The same is true for designing courtyards. Only by skillfully using the synchronization of various rhythms can visitors get a sense of rhythm.
