Tagong Temple on the grassland is one of the famous temples of Tibetan Buddhism and one of the pilgrimage sites of Tibetans in Kangba area. Every August 1 day, a horse racing festival will be held here, when tents will be set up on the grassland and people will be crowded. Every year, a grand Buddhist ceremony and Buddhist jumping activities are held in the temple, and the walls of the temple are covered with Thangka paintings, showing the superb skills of monks and folk artists in the temple. Tibet's reliefs, painted sculptures, murals and ghee products, as well as pagodas and ancient pagodas with different shapes, all have very unique ethnic and religious cultural characteristics.
Tagong grassland covers an area of 7 12.37 square kilometers, with gentle terrain, vast grassland, rich aquatic plants and flocks of cattle and sheep. At the end of spring and the beginning of summer, the Tagong grassland is full of beautiful spring and green grass. The smoke from the tents all over the pasture rises and smells of milk tea. Herdsmen are marching with their cattle and sheep.
Tagong Grassland is the most famous grassland in Ganzi Prefecture. The mountains and clouds set off the vast green grassland and the majestic Tagong Temple, showing beautiful plateau scenery. In summer and autumn, the grassland is full of flowers and clear water, and cattle, sheep, horses, tents and temple towers are intertwined, showing a beautiful and charming scenery. ...
Tagong Temple is a famous Sakya Temple in Ganzi Prefecture. After the reform and opening up, with the implementation of the party's religious policy, after several repairs, the temple buildings are magnificent. It is mainly composed of the following parts: 1. The main hall is a combination of Tibetan architectural styles, with a traditional Tibetan stone wall at the lower part and a Chinese sloping roof at the upper part. The temple is dedicated to the statue of Sarong Gongga, the great Buddha of Ningbo, the master of Sakyamuni Buddhism. Second, every temple must have a hall, which is heavily guarded and contains statues. The third is the "Sleeping Buddha" Hall. Three statues of Sakyamuni, aged 12, were enshrined in the Lusi Temple, which was carried by Princess Wencheng in the Tang Dynasty when she entered Tibet. This Buddha statue is an important cultural relic in the temple and a treasure of the town temple, and enjoys a high reputation among religious people in Ganzi Prefecture. The fourth is the tower hall, which is mainly dedicated to the "Zhituo" tower (Chinese name Achievement Tower).
It is said that there is a magical sandalwood lath in the tower, which is also a treasure of temples and towns. The fifth is the turning corridor. There are two turning corridors in the hall: one is a small turning corridor around the tower hall; The other is a large turning corridor around the renovated temple (including Tallinn). In the morning and evening, local herdsmen or pilgrims from other places recite the Mani Sutra, turn their hands to "East Carving" and turn clockwise. Sixth, there are two distinctive Tibetan-style "collapsed buildings" on the left and right sides of the Hall of the Great Hero, which are dedicated to the residence of monks in temples. The seventh is the Lotus Peanut House. The temple is opposite to the "Tower Hall" and stands on the right side in front of the temple, where the Buddha statue of Master Lotus and Peanut is enshrined. Eighth, in the Rang Building on the right side of the Ursa Major Hall, a giant gold-plated bronze statue of Guanyin, which is as high as 10 meter, has been newly molded, which can be called "a must for Kangba". This statue is exquisite in workmanship and vivid in shape. Every year from June 6th to June 7th, 17, the temple fair "Qiang Mu" (God Dance) is held, and tourists keep coming.
Because the "Zhituo" tower enshrined in the tower hall in the temple is legendary, and it is said that the temple was built on the basis of this tower, the name of the temple is also named after the "Zhituo Tower" in the tower hall, which is called "Zhituo Mulberry Bamboo Forest" (meaning Zhu Jie Temple at first sight). Probably for this reason, later monks and benefactors came to the temple to repair the tower, and a Tallinn was formed in an open space on the left side of the temple, with the number exceeding 100. Among them, the Oriental White Pagoda, the Southern Yellow Pagoda, the Western Red Pagoda and the Northern Green Pagoda are the most famous. Tallinn is majestic, solemn and spectacular.
Behind the Tagong Temple, there are three autumn grass mountains in turn. There are many triangular or square flag arrays composed of Mani prayer flags on the mountain, flying in the wind, adding to the mystery of the three mountains, and the scene is also very eye-catching and spectacular. These are the three sacred mountains known as the three masters of tantric affairs of Tibetan Buddhism. The three sacred mountains and grasslands complement each other, and the Tagong grassland is more beautiful against the blue sky and white clouds.
