1, Yugong Yishan.

Taihang, Wangya two mountains, seven hundred miles in circumference, seven or eight thousand feet high, in the south of Jizhou, north of the Yellow River. Below the northern mountain there was a man named Yugong, nearly 90 years old, who lived directly opposite the mountain. Suffering from the obstruction of the northern part of the mountain and the difficulty of getting in and out of it, he called his whole family together to discuss the matter and said, "I will try my best with you to dig up and flatten the treacherous mountain, so that the road will lead all the way to the southern part of Yuzhou, to the south bank of the Han River, all right?"

Everyone agreed. His wife questioned, "With your strength, you can't even flatten the small mountain of Kuifu, so what can you do about Taihang and Wangya? Besides, where to set aside the soil and stones dug down?" The people said, "Throw it to the edge of the Bohai Sea, north of the hidden earth." So Yugong led three of his children and grandchildren up the mountain, chiseled the stones, dug up the earth, and carried it to the edge of the Bohai Sea with a skip and a dustpan.

The wise man on the bay of the river sneered at Yugong and stopped him from doing this, saying, "You are simply too foolish! With your remaining years and your remaining strength you can't even move a blade of grass on the mountain, so what can you do with the soil and stones?"

The Fool of the North Mountain sighed, "Your heart is so stubborn, so stubborn that you can't get it right, and you're no match for an orphan or a widow. The wise man of Hequ had nothing to say in reply.

The mountain god holding the snake heard about this, and fearing that he would dig endlessly, reported it to the Heavenly Emperor. Touched by Yugong's sincerity, the Heavenly Emperor ordered the two sons of the Herculean god Qua'e to carry away the two mountains, placing one in the eastern part of Shuo Fang and one in the southern part of Yong Zhou. From that time on, there were no more high mountains in the southern part of Jizhou up to the southern bank of the Han River.

When he crossed the river, the left chancellor Sima Rui made him the military counselor.

Zu Ti gathered together his brave and strong warriors and said to Si Ma Rui, "The rebellion of the Jin Dynasty was not caused by the resentment of the ministers because of the monarch's lack of justice, but rather by the competition for power between the royal clansmen, who killed each other, allowing the Rong and Di to take advantage of the loophole and scourge the Central Plains. The survivors of the Jin Dynasty are all devastated and want to strengthen themselves. If you, my lord, are truly able to send out generals to lead your troops, and have someone like me lead the troops to restore the Central Plains, there will surely be heroes and heroines from all over the country who will hear of the wind and respond!"

Shi Ma Rui, who had never had any ambition for a northern expedition, after listening to Zu Ti's words, made Zu Ti a general of Fenwei and an assassin of Yuzhou, and merely allotted him rations for a thousand men and 3,000 pairs of cloth, and did not supply him with weapons, so that Zu Ti could think of ways to raise them on his own.

Zu Ti led his private army*** of more than a hundred families across the Yangtze River, pounding his oars in the river and swearing, "If I, Zu Ti, fail to purge the Central Plains and come back across the river again, I will be like this river with no return!" In 100 BC, the new monarch of the Xiongnu regime assumed the throne, and the Emperor of the Han Dynasty sent Su Wu to lead the people as a gesture of friendship. Unexpectedly, just as Su Wu completed his mission and was about to return to his country, civil unrest broke out in the upper echelons of the Xiongnu, and Su Wu was detained and asked to betray the Han Dynasty and submit to the monarch.

Initially, Shan Yu sent people to Su Wu to persuade him, promising generous salaries and high positions, which Su Wu sternly refused. The only company Su Wu had was the envoy's stick, which represented the Han Dynasty, and a small flock of sheep.
