Exercise precautions

One, a quiet and relaxed body

The so-called "quiet mind" means that when practicing taijiquan, the mind should exclude all distractions and not be disturbed by the outside world; the so-called "loose body" does not mean that the whole body is lax and tired, but it means that when practicing taijiquan and keeping the correct body posture, the whole body should consciously reach the joints, muscles and internal organs. Joints, muscles and internal organs to maximize the state of relaxation.

Second, roundness and consistency

"The mind is quiet and the body is loose" is the basic requirement for taijiquan practice. Whether or not to achieve "roundness and consistency" is the main basis for measuring the depth of one's kung fu. The "coherence" required for taijiquan practice is multi-faceted.

One of them is the coherence of the limbs, the so-called "joint penetration". The coherence of the limbs is centered on the waist. In the process of movement transition, it is required: for the lower limbs, it is the waist with the cross, the cross with the knee, the knee with the foot; for the upper limbs, it is the waist with the back, the back with the shoulder, the shoulder with the elbow, and the elbow with the hand.

The second is the articulation between movements, i.e., the "momentum connection", where the end of the previous movement is the beginning of the next one, and there is no interruption or pause between the momentums. The "round and live" is a further requirement on the basis of coherence, which means that it is smooth and natural.
