Manufacturing process, equipment and matters needing attention of metal bracket denture

Customized removable denture refers to removable denture made according to the doctor's design requirements and unified operation process. According to different purposes, it can be divided into removable partial denture, complete denture and hollow denture. Firstly, the technological process of the most common removable partial denture is introduced.

The manufacturing process of removable partial denture is mainly divided into the following processes:

The process of making a model:

First of all, carefully check the impression, and at the same time, wash off the residual saliva and blood with running water and disinfect it. Mix the model materials, put a small amount of evenly mixed gypsum material from the top of the maxilla and the upper part of the tongue, and shake it continuously or on a shaker. Turn the impression upside down and put it on the plaster, so that the joint surface of the impression is parallel to the glass plate, and the distance between the joint surface and the bottom of the model is 3.5~4.0cm for mandible and 4.0~4.5cm for maxilla. Form the bottom of the model with a mixed knife and trim the model at the same time.

Take different methods to demould according to different materials. For the elastic impression material, the model can be removed directly after the gypsum is solidified. At this time, the gypsum around the tray should be removed first, so that the edge of the tray and the impression are not embedded by gypsum. Then, holding the model base in one hand and the tray in the other, carefully loosen the model along the long axis of the tooth and then take it off. If the impression is made of impression glue, take out the tray and soak it in hot water at 55~60℃, and demould it after the impression material softens.

After the working model is taken out, it should be polished off with a model trimmer (gypsum grinder) in time, and then the tumor on the occlusal surface and the excessively long edge of the mucosa turning point should be trimmed off with a meat cutter. If it is a memory model, it will be trimmed according to specific requirements.

Model design:

Use the observer's analysis stick to check the denture and mucosal tissue of abutment, determine the positioning path of denture, and draw the observation line on abutment. Determine the number and distribution of abutments, the types and positions of clasp and Dalian connector on the model, and design the extension boundary of abutments. According to the inclination direction of abutment, observation lines can be divided into three types.

Then, it is necessary to determine the * * * co-location orbit. When a removable partial denture has two or more abutments, the positioning direction of the retainers on each abutment must be the same, so that the denture can obtain the * * * co-location trajectory and the denture can be positioned smoothly. There are two methods to determine it: uniform concavity method and concavity adjustment method.

The final design of the model: according to the doctor's design list, draw the positions and types of clasp, bracket, indirect retainer, connector and mesh bracket on the model with blue pencil, and then draw the extension range of denture base with red pencil. After the design is completed, the areas that need buffering, such as undercut and osteophyte, which are not conducive to denture placement, are treated and filled with undercut and buffering models.
