How many gas stations are there currently in the country? How many charging piles?

As of 2020, the total number of gas stations in China reaches 119,000, Tesla charging piles 718, of which the number of the two main gas stations occupies about 45% of the total number of gas stations in China, the private and other gas stations occupies about 50%, CNOOC and foreign gas stations occupy the remaining 5% or so. Generally, a gas station can fill up 500 to 1,000 vehicles a day, depending on location. Based on the maximum data, current gas stations can serve vehicles on the same day: 119,000 * 1,000 = 119 million.
