Generally speaking, there must be mineral deposits of industrial value before mining can be considered.

Because there are not many iron-rich mines in China, the higher the grade, the better the quality. China's industrial grade is above 45%. The lower the phosphorus content, the lower the cost of iron ore smelting and separation, the more favored by smelters and the higher the price.

There are two kinds of mining equipment:

1. Open pit mining: low cost, high profit, mainly using excavators, loaders, cars, pneumatic drills, explosives, etc.

2. Underground mining: the cost is high, and tunnel support and ventilation equipment are needed to lay the tunnel and transport it to the surface by a small train with special equipment.

If the ore is supplied to the smelter, it can be contacted by train wagons; If you provide semi-finished products, you need a set of equipment, and the smallest one needs more than 6,543,800 yuan, so that the ore can be finely ground, initially separated (a lot of water is needed, and the iron content is required to be above 90%), and then supplied to the smelter.

As for the rational utilization of resources, it is generally difficult for mining units to do so. Mining will cause pollution and damage to the environment, and slag is basically useless. If it is a smelter, other elements in the ore will be separated and used for other purposes.
