Mother's Love Author Jiangnan Yu's Profile

Jiangnan Yu, formerly known as Du Chengnan, is a native of Bengbu, Anhui Province, who graduated from the Department of Foreign Languages of Peking University in 1955, and later graduated from the postgraduate program of the Beijing Institute of Foreign Languages. He has been a professor and deputy director of the Academic Committee of the College of Humanities and Arts of Chongqing University, director of the Three Gorges Cultural Research Institute, editor-in-chief of Literary Translation Newspaper, and editor-in-chief of Chinese and Foreign Golden Bridge Magazine.

Graduated from the Department of Foreign Languages of Peking University in 1955, and later graduated from the postgraduate program of Beijing Foreign Language Institute.

He has been a professor and deputy director of the Academic Committee of the College of Humanities and Arts of Chongqing University, director of the Three Gorges Cultural Research Institute, editor-in-chief of Literature Translation Newspaper, and editor-in-chief of Chinese and Foreign Golden Bridge Magazine.

Visiting professor of Gonzaga University, consultant professor and postgraduate supervisor of the Department of Oriental Languages of the University of Belgrade, FRY, executive director of the Chinese Society for Comparative Study of the English and Chinese Languages, director of the China Translation Association, member of the Presidium of the Chongqing Writers' Association, and director of the Translation Committee.

He began to publish his works in 1953.
