What is the safe distance of the return line?
1. For traditional reflow soldering equipment, a safe distance of at least 2.5 mm should be kept between the solder joint and the reflow soldering line.
2. For modern high-temperature reflow soldering equipment, a safe distance of at least 3.5 mm should be kept between the solder joint and the reflow soldering line.
The safe distance of return line refers to a safety measure in the welding process, also known as the safe distance of return ion. In the process of reflow soldering, high temperature and high pressure airflow will be generated in the reflow oven. If the distance between the solder joint and the reflow line is too close, it may affect the solder joint and cause welding defects.
