What is interface design?

Interface design (namely UI design) is a medium for transmitting and exchanging information between people and machines. FaceUI includes hardware interface and software interface, which is an interdisciplinary research field of computer science and psychology, design art, cognitive science and ergonomics.

Interface is the medium of interaction between people and objects, in other words, interface is a new look given to objects by designers. The two physical interfaces of computer, keyboard and mouse, are the most traditional elements in human-computer interface, but these have gradually become the limitations of the development of human-computer interface. Because human beings can't freely integrate information and data into human active thinking imagination through keyboard and mouse, they feel alienated from human-computer interface. How to transcend the limitations of keyboard and mouse, further expand the interface between digital system and human beings, and let digital system really enter human life has become the research direction of interface design at this stage.
