CCTV Mid-Autumn Gala program list officially announced

The CCTV 2023 Mid-Autumn Gala will be broadcast on CCTV-1, CCTV-3, CCTV-4, Sound of Music, Sound of Literature and Art, Sound of the Greater Bay Area, Sound of Taiwan and Sea, and on new media platforms such as CCTV Video and CCTV.com, as well as on social media platforms overseas to a global audience. The program will be broadcasted simultaneously to the global audience.

Gala Format

The CCTV Mid-Autumn Gala, or CCTV Autumn Gala for short, is a variety show organized by CCTV on the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival each year in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival, an annual traditional festival of the Chinese nation. CCTV began holding the Mid-Autumn Festival Gala in 1991, and since 1999, the Mid-Autumn Festival Gala has been produced by CCTV Chinese International Channel.

The CCTV 2023 Mid-Autumn Gala will be held in Yibin, Sichuan Province, which is known as the "First City of the Miles of Yangtze River". The main stage of the gala will be set up in the Yangtze River Park next to the confluence of the Jinsha River, the Minjiang River and the Yangtze River, which is also the "zero kilometer of the Yangtze River's main waterway".
