Essay on New Year's Day 2010

Looking forward to New Year's Day

New Year's Day 2010 is obviously late

I have been looking forward to it for a long time.

Because on this day I'm going to present a piano piece for my class. I haven't been learning to play the piano for very long. It was only this summer when my mom enrolled me in lessons. I've been looking forward to the day when I can play a piece for everyone on stage. My father is a painter, and he always wanted me to follow in his father's footsteps, so I started learning art when I was in kindergarten, but I didn't really like art. But he never understood me. He wanted me to study art. It's depressing. Ah, I'm getting ahead of myself.

That said, I finally waited until the last day of 2009. In the afternoon, we stopped taking classes. The class president took a few of us tall boys and decorated the education beautifully. The homeroom teacher knew that I was good at art and even let me draw a big poster on the blackboard celebrating New Year's Day. I was really a little proud of myself. But I know I'm even more proud of myself.

The program began. All the talented students performed. Finally, it was my turn. Since it was my first time on stage, I was a little nervous and didn't perform as well as I usually do. I was a little frustrated. But since no one in my class had a live piano solo, everyone gave me a particularly enthusiastic round of applause.

New Year's Day is our traditional Chinese festival, but also a must-have holiday, in which we eat dumplings and set off firecrackers. The whole new year comes, the streets, supermarkets, food markets are crowded. Some buy food to go home to cook, some buy gifts to visit friends and relatives ...... All are celebrating the arrival of the new year.

New Year's Day morning, I opened my eyes with the sound of firecrackers. Turning the calendar over to a new year and a wonderful story. I lay in bed and thought back to my past year, there was sweat, there was joy, there was sadness, and there was gratitude. It was as if all that had happened was right in front of my eyes.

On the first day of 2010, I did many meaningful things. I learned to cook; I helped my mom with the laundry and cleaned my room ...... These things are insignificant, but to me it is the biggest because it taught me to be independent and made me grow up.

Farewell to the old year, we crossed into the new year. It is as if a new runway has appeared in front of my eyes perhaps I will still fall on this runway, but I will still stand up tenaciously, tenaciously challenge to the heavy difficulties. I firmly believe that after the storm, there will always be a beautiful rainbow. The day of the day are very joyful, are very excited.
