Simple method of steaming rice cakes

Prepare appropriate amount of glutinous rice, dried dates and other materials.

Step 1: Wash the prepared glutinous rice, then soak it in cold water for about 25-30 minutes, drain the water, and steam it in a steamer for 60 minutes.

Step 2: Take out the steamed glutinous rice, put it in a pot, pour some boiling water, stir it in one direction with a wooden stick, and steam it in a cage for 30 minutes. This step is often followed until the glutinous rice becomes sticky dumplings, then steamed for 10 minute, taken out, covered with a wet cloth, and steamed for 12 hour.

Step 3, wash and cook the dried dates, steam them in a cage for 30 minutes, and take them out to cool when the color is deep red and shiny.

Step 4: Divide the dumplings into three equal parts, then dip them in cold boiled water by hand, smooth them one by one, and make them into cubes with a thickness of 5 cm. First, evenly spread the steamed dried dates on a glutinous rice balls, cover the second glutinous rice balls, spread the dried dates, put the third glutinous rice balls and then put the dried dates.

Step 5: Cover the cake with a wet cloth, put it under the cake, press it with one hand along the edge of the cake with both hands, and push it with the other hand until the cake is cut and extruded to a thickness of about 10 cm, then cut the extruded rice cake into small pieces and sprinkle with white sugar.
