Eight virtues of Confucianism
Confucianism has eight virtues.
Filial piety: devotion and obedience to parents.
Xun: Respect your elder brother, do good deeds and accumulate virtue.
Loyalty: try your best to be loyal to the virtue of serving and doing things for the public.
Faith: Honesty, no cheating.
Etiquette: the ancient hierarchical system in China, and the corresponding moral and social norms.
Righteousness: the truth of justice; Honest behavior
Lian: There is no corruption.
Shame: shame
First, filial piety: the filial piety of all virtues comes first. "The body is a skin injury, and parents dare not hurt it. Filial piety begins. " We get life from our parents, so we should be grateful. One can be grateful, can be grateful, and can sprout filial piety.
Second, you: you are a knowing word, a word "heart", with your brother's "brother", and your heart is next to your brother, indicating that your brother cares about his younger brother and sister; There is a brother in my heart, that is, sincere friendship between brothers. The younger brother has the meaning of "second place", which means that the younger brother should respect and obey the younger brother. And the elder brother has to take care of the younger brother and seduce him with the tide. If brothers can do their best, they will naturally be harmonious and friendly.
Third, loyalty: loyalty is a word of knowledge. A word "loyalty" plus a word "heart" means "heart is right". A person's heart is not biased or inclined, which is "loyalty". In other words, it is the right knowledge and right view in the classics. Your words come from what you know and see, and they are also "loyalty".
Fourth, trust: refers to honesty and not deceiving others. We should treat people with integrity. People can't stand without faith. When communicating with others, they will use words appropriately, never break their words, never swear, and never make promises easily. They will do whatever they say.
5. Etiquette: It is formed by the moral concepts and customs of a certain society, and everyone abides by it. Therefore, each of us should learn manners and be polite to others in our daily life and work. That is to say, lead an honest and clean life, know how to save money harmoniously, control oneself and desires, avoid rape and chaos, correct mentality, and govern the country by virtue.
6. Righteousness: refers to a just and proper truth or behavior, and each of us should have a sense of justice. In social activities, words and deeds are in line with justice and public welfare, and they cannot afford to steal, take advantage of, be impartial and have a clear conscience.
Integrity: refers to people's integrity, non-corruption, honesty and self-discipline. We should be honest and upright, and establish a correct outlook on life and the world. Take pleasure in ideological cleanliness and honesty.
Shame: It means that a person should know shame and feel ashamed. Confucius said: "Knowing shame is almost brave". A country's prosperity often comes from knowing the shame it has suffered, and then it can prosper.
