What does "intellectual" mean?
Intellectuals are intellectuals who have a high degree of cultural expertise among the workers of the contemporaneous society, and who make the creation, accumulation, and dissemination of cultural expertise a specialized occupation. Intellectual is a historical category which came into being with the emergence of class and the separation of manual and mental labor, and it will disappear with the elimination of class and the elimination of the difference between manual and mental labor. Therefore, it is a social class of mental workers formed at a specific historical stage as a result of the social division of labor and the non-universalization of culture, education, science and technology. In different countries and in different historical periods, the criteria for determining intellectuals are different. The meaning of intellectuals is also different.
