What is spring plowing
Spring plowing refers to the period from the first day of the first month to the fifteenth day of the third month of the lunar calendar, which is also known as "spring plowing". During this time, farmers prepare their fields by trimming weeds, reclaiming fields, and measuring fields. Specifically, the field is first cut clean of weeds, then the plow is used to divide the field into blocks of a certain size, then the hoe is used to beat the plow blade to reclaim the large pieces of soil into smaller squares, then the size and shape of the field is measured with cement, and finally the time and amount of fertilizers, medicines, and nitrogen applied are planned according to the measured figures. Spring plowing is a very important part of the traditional Chinese custom, which represents the people's efforts to grow and develop their crops.
