Hufu Community is adjacent to Jieshou Village, Pinzuo Village, Zhangren Village, Dachang Village, Debiao Village, Ying Long Village, Longxiang Village, Ruzhen Village, Ziying Village, Jindun Village, Lu 'an Village, Yong 'an Village and Laorenqiao Village.

On April 7, 2020, the community around the lake was listed as the first batch of traditional villages in Jiangsu Province.
