The Difference Between Roofing Yakane and Roofing Shang
Both of these Chinese mean roofing yakan - a roof over a building to protect it from rain. People cannot go up there. Yakagami - a flat place on the roof of some high-rise buildings where people can walk around. This is where people can go up. In other words, the roof of a house where people live at home (e.g., the Ichiken house) is called "yakane," while the roof of a Japanese building (office building, school) where people can go up is called "yakami. The difference between "Yakane" and "Yakami" is called "Yakami".
