The difference between traditional foreign trade and cross-border e-commerce
Cross-border electronic commerce refers to an international business activity in which transaction subjects belonging to different customs reach a deal, make payment and settlement through e-commerce platform, and deliver goods and complete the transaction through cross-border logistics. Compared with traditional B2B and B2C foreign trade, cross-border electronic commerce has five new features: multilateralization, directness, small batch, high frequency and digitalization.
Traditional foreign trade is mainly that importers/exporters of one country import/export a large number of commodities through importers/exporters of another country, and then through multi-level distribution of domestic circulation enterprises, and finally reach enterprises or consumers in need. There are many import and export links, long time and high cost.
