What kinds of deafness are there?

Deafness is mainly divided into three types:

1. Sensory nerve deafness. Sensorineural deafness is mainly caused by ototoxic drugs during pregnancy and childbirth, long-term use of ototoxic drugs, viral infectious diseases, senile hearing loss, insufficient blood supply to the brain, huge hearing damage and other factors. The lesion may be in the cochlea.

2. Conductive deafness. Conductive deafness mainly refers to congenital malformation of the outer ear or middle ear, as well as the symptoms of hearing loss caused by the damage of the sound transmission structure in the ear caused by acquired ear trauma or inflammation. The lesion is probably the eardrum or middle ear, and there is something wrong with the sound transmission device.

3. Mixed deafness refers to both conductive deafness and sensorineural deafness.
