What is Afghan Buka?
Afghan burqa, also known as Buka, is also translated as Boka. It is a loose and bulky coat, made of heavy cloth, which can cover women from head to shoulder, leaving only mesh at the eyes, so that you can barely see the road ahead.
Traditional robes are mainly black, followed by dark blue, coffee and other dark series. After wearing it, women are wrapped from head to toe and can only see the outside world through a small piece of gauze in front of them. During the previous Taliban rule, women were required to wear burqa in public and could only go out with male relatives.
