What is Success Theology

Success theology is a Christian doctrine that asserts that God desires Christians to be successful in various ways, especially in the area of possessions, and is an outward evidence of God's favor that can be obtained through prayer.

Success theology is predominantly popular in the Pentecostal or charismatic movement, but is not limited to this tradition.

Success theology quotes Old Testament Deuteronomy 8:18: "Remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you strength to get goods, in order to strengthen the covenant he swore to your fathers, as it is today."

It can also only be said that the vast majority of it is beneficial, that is, using the important wisdom within the Bible and God's promises to man to guide the believer to success in real life. I don't support this doctrine per se, and find it easy to go to extremes with utilitarian overtones.
