Cutting a hole in the wall to steal light--Kuangheng was a diligent student, but he had no candles at home. The neighboring house had candles, but the light could not shine on his house, so Kuangheng cut a hole in the wall to draw the candlelight from the neighboring house, so that the candlelight shone on the books to read. There was a big family in the same hometown called Wen Tizhi, who had a lot of books at home. Kuang Heng went to his house to work as a hired laborer without pay.
