The Red Land in Meiguan, South Guangdong in Walking Diary

20 17.

Early autumn.

The long-planned trip to Shaoguan finally took place.

The main destinations this time are Shaoguan Meiguan Ancient Road and Shixing Red Land, also known as "Red Desert". As the "red land" has been there before, it is planned that we should drive by. I'm afraid of driving long distances, so I don't have to worry too much about having my brother as a driver this time.

This time, Mao Mao also invited a beautiful woman, Ayun, to go with him, which is very good. Talking and laughing all the way, talking about life, sharing joys and sorrows, working and living, and arriving at Shixing County around 1 1:00 in the morning.

We contacted the tour guides Hua Zai and Yan Jie, and we drove directly to "Red Land".

Actually, I went with Daxin as early as 20 12. At that time, this place was free of charge. Although it is not far from the village, it is sparsely populated at ordinary times. It seems that the land is not very fertile, only the hills are covered with cotton. The cool breeze has passed and the cotton wool is flying, but it seems a little sad.

I still remember that it was early autumn, and the endless rolling hills were particularly depressed and lifeless against the gloomy sky. In my mind, there was a poem "There are no birds in a hundred mountains, and there are no footprints in a thousand paths".

Ahem! Off topic.

Just after parking the car, the tour guide Hua Zai greeted him. A young man in his twenties is very easygoing, which Mao Mao met online.

This guy Mao Mao is not only good at picking up girls, but also an old driver in public relations. I really admire him.

Entering the scenic spot, Hanako introduced Sister Yan to us. Sister Yan looks thin, but she is energetic and hospitable and talkative. Sister Yan gave us a general introduction to the situation after the development of the scenic spot, as well as information such as hiking routes. We have probably mastered all these, and this time we mainly want to go to places we haven't been to yet. Sister Yan told us some interesting places with hiking routes nearby. We probably located the distance on the mobile phone map, so we know fairly well.

Then, Sister Yan and Andy took us around the "Red Land". The red soil in this place is a unique landscape in Shixing County. Its color is darker than that of Dongchuan, Yunnan, and the soil is hard. When people walk on the mountain, it won't sink.

The red soil here is most suitable for planting red tobacco leaves and cotton, so you can also see pieces of tobacco leaves and cotton along the way. It is reported that Shixing is also a famous hometown of dinosaurs. The number and variety of dinosaur fossils found here are rare at home and abroad. More than 200 dinosaur eggs have been dug up. I hope to see them this time.

Such as the red land under the afternoon sun, shining with charming red light, undulating curves, lonely sky, such as being in the barren northwest. But what impressed me even more was that the last time late autumn came, wild chrysanthemums were blooming all over the mountains, one by one, like jumping into a golden sea of flowers.

After bidding farewell to Yan Jie and Hua Zai, we continued to the long-awaited "South Guangdong Meiguan Ancient Road". Meiguan Ancient Road is located at the junction of Dayu County, Jiangxi Province and Nanxiong City, Guangdong Province, 20 kilometers away from Dayu County 10 and Nanxiong City. According to legend, Meiling was named after Mei Si, the leader of the Vietnamese people who moved south.

Another way of saying Meiling is that there are many plum trees, so it is called Meiling. Now there is the name "Xiaomei Guan" on the map. Meiling Ancient Road is the most intact ancient post road in China. The ancient road is about 6 feet wide, the road surface is neatly paved with goose hatches, the road is surrounded by lush bushes, and the cliffs on both sides are lush.

Plum trees in Meiling are all over the north of Lingnan Ridge. Every winter, plum blossoms bloom all over the mountains and become the world of plum blossoms. "Cold Plum in Yuling" is one of the four famous scenic spots in China history. Plum blossoms in Meiling have two characteristics: First, according to the Records of Nanxiong County, "Plum blossoms in Yuling are slightly different from those in Jiangnan. Flowers are like red-lipped peaches, and some are pure red. " There are many people who plant more plants on the mountain and then they become white. "Secondly, due to the obvious climate difference between the north and the south of Lingnan Ridge, there is a strange scene in which the south branch opens first and the north branch is put behind, with clear boundaries. Su Shi, a famous writer in the Northern Song Dynasty, went to Meiling to admire plum blossoms and wrote a poem: "Plum blossoms are full of miscellaneous flowers, and pedestrians are endless. Don't take advantage of the plum blossom fragrance to taste the cold plum in Yuling to cook wine, but watch the red rain ripen the yellow plum. "He vividly described the plum blossom on the ridge to ancient pedestrians, from plum blossom opening to falling flower and plum ripening.

At the foot of Mount Deshan, it is dusk. After taking some photos at the main entrance of the scenic spot, the four of us climbed the mountain directly.

It is said that there is no charge for scenic spots at ordinary times, and tickets are only collected in winter when plum blossoms are in full bloom. I think this rule is quite good.

Passing through a row of low-rise peasant houses, we turned to the ancient road into the mountain, all paved with stone slabs, which walked smoothly and must have a long history. The roadside, pavilions and Shan Ye are all planted with plum trees. The old and new trees are well trimmed and have different shapes, which complement the ancient roads, archways, pavilions and stone carvings, giving people the feeling of traveling through time and space.

After walking for about 1 hour, we climbed the majestic Meiguan and stood at the gate of the top of the mountain, truly realizing the heroism of "crossing two provinces with one foot". Looking at the opposite mountain, Dayu County, Jiangxi Province. We stepped into Jiangxi, walked a few hundred meters, and came to a gazebo, where we could see the infinite scenery north of Meiguan in Dayu County.

If you go further north to Jiangxi, you should reach the foot of the mountain in about 30 minutes. After staying for a while, it was getting late, so we had to return to Shaoguan by the same way.

At the foot of the mountain, I felt hungry, so I asked my host what was delicious in a farmhouse. The host said it was too late, and there was only one goose and one dish at home. Soon the food came, but the goose did well, but there were too few dishes. As soon as I understand, there is not much land here and the climate is cold. Especially in winter, vegetables are basically bought from other places, so they are rare and expensive.

On the way back to Guangzhou by car, we thought this route was suitable for relaxing and hiking on weekends. Unfortunately, it is not the time when Han Mei is in full bloom, otherwise it is bound to capture the majestic posture of Mei Guan and the proud snow of Han Mei.
