Traditional Chinese Studies ~ Cold Food Festival!

On Wednesday afternoon, the second class is our childhood Chinese studies class, and it is also a course that children in our class are looking forward to learning.

Last week, the volunteer teacher Qian Qian assigned the children a preview task: the time, customs and related poems of the Cold Food Festival.

In the second volume of the sixth grade Chinese textbook, I chose the poem "Cold Food". To be honest, I really didn't know the date, origin and related poems of the Cold Food Festival before.

Cold food:

Spring city is full of flowers,

Cold food, east wind and willows.

At sunset, in the Han Palace, people distribute candles.

Light smoke scattered into Wuhou mansion.

Teacher Qian first played an animated video to let students know about the customs of the Cold Food Festival, then spent enough time reading the poem aloud, and then explained the contents of the poem in detail. Although Mr. Qian explained it twice in detail, the second-grade children still couldn't understand it, and they couldn't tell the separate meaning of the poem.

Then, the date of the Cold Food Festival is described: from summer to the future 105, one or two days before Tomb-Sweeping Day. The custom of the Cold Food Festival is to ban smoking and eat cold food. Gradually increased ancestor worship, mountaineering, swinging, cuju, cockfighting and other customs.

The origin of the Cold Food Festival: Zhong Er, Jin Wengong, is a festival to commemorate meson tui.

After learning this lesson, the children know about the Cold Food Festival, which may leave a deep impression on them.
