What does this sentence mean?
Douglas macarthur said that he is a famous American strategist with the rank of five-star general. During World War II, he served as commander of the US Far East Army and commander of the Allied Forces in the Southwest Pacific Theater. After the war, he became the supreme commander of the allied forces in Japan and the commander-in-chief of the "United Nations Army".
This sentence comes from a poem during World War I. Mai Shuai gave lectures to young students in West Point Military Academy on this topic, hoping that they could inherit the glorious tradition of their ancestors-veterans retired from the army, but their spirit would be passed on to young people. Veterans, Bao still looks at the young people who shed blood, sweat and tears for their responsibility, honor and country and is proud of them.
