Characteristics of media development history
4, the arrival of the post-human era
The post-human era is the "bit" of Negroponte's armed forces and the "body reappearance" after Foucault's development, but the most important feature is that information gradually replaces material as the main resource of society, and man-machine is integrated in all directions. The machines of the future will also be as discussed by Catherine Heller in How We Become Post-human. "While embracing information technology, human beings will not be tempted by infinite power and immortal fantasies without flesh", and they are self-sufficient.
Third, intelligent machines: the coordination of "negative entropy" and "evolution"
Negative entropy and evolution are two sides of a machine. Negative entropy is a prominent defect and confusion in the process of machine evolution, and evolution is the self-improvement and growth of machines. Nowadays, the phenomenon of pan-entertainment, information redundancy, group polarization and ethical anomie brought by the development of artificial intelligence makes social life disorderly, and it is urgent to strengthen the concept of machines serving people. We should think about the humanistic norms and values of technology and recognize the convenience brought by technology.
How can the new digital media learn from and reconstruct the forms and contents of the old media? Computer games can easily remind people of montages and TV pictures. Realistic pictures conform to the current trend of real images, and network communication has replaced traditional word of mouth and changed the history of radio and television (Bolter &: Grusin, 1999). Scholar Lev Manovic pointed out more clearly that the purpose of emerging digital media is to reuse the data of existing media, not to create new media (Manovic, 200 1). This situation not only occurs in digital media, but also is a common problem in mass communication society. On the one hand, the media needs to attract the audience's attention through new stories; On the other hand, media systems have to rely on identity. On the basis of this contradiction, the content production in mass communication society actually presents the characteristics of low intensity. Serialized novels, phonograph records, film genres, radio and television modes, etc. can be traced back to modern unedited mixed old media materials, which become available content, transferred to new media, and spread successfully through mainstream websites and appropriate promotion means.
