Is Weihai a national civilized city?

By 2020, Weihai will be a national civilized city. According to China Civilization Network, two prefecture-level cities, Jining and Tai 'an, and six county-level cities, including Qufu, xintai city, Feicheng, Qingzhou, Changyi and Zhucheng, were selected as the sixth national civilized cities.

After examination, it is confirmed that nine prefecture-level cities in Shandong Province, including Jinan, Qingdao, Zibo, Dongying, Yantai, Weifang, Weihai, Rizhao and Linyi, are on the list, and six county-level cities, including jiaozhou city, Shouguang, Laizhou, Rongcheng, Rushan and Longkou, continue to retain the honorary title of "National Civilized City". The national civilized city is commended once every three years, which is the highest honorary title reflecting the overall civilization level of a city and the most valuable city brand.

In addition, it also commended the national civilized villages and towns, national civilized units, national civilized families and national civilized campuses. Weihai is a prefecture-level city in Shandong Province, a regional central city of Shandong Peninsula in China approved by the State Council, an important marine industrial base and a coastal tourist city. Weihai is located in the east of China, at the eastern end of Shandong Peninsula. It is bordered by the Yellow Sea in the north, east and south, Liaodong Peninsula in the north, Korea Peninsula across the sea in the east and Yantai in Shandong in the west.
