Shortcomings of the blood counting plate

Hematocrit plate is measured directly under the microscope. It is easy and quick to observe the number of individual microorganisms in a certain volume and then deduce the number of bacteria contained. However, dead and alive cells are counted, as well as microscopic debris. The result is often high, and is therefore suitable for counting bacteria or spores with large morphology.
