The Methods and Skills of Poetry Teaching

First of all, we must grasp several concepts.

1. What is the theme of the poem? As we all know, most poems are expressive and songs are lyrical. Some poems express their aspirations by supporting objects, while others express their feelings by borrowing scenery and objects. Therefore, the main purpose of poetry is to express their wishes and feelings. Ambition and emotion belong to the rational content in people's understanding of things.

Second, what is the law of human understanding of things? Under normal circumstances, the law of human cognition is: from appearance to essence, from individual to general, from concrete to abstract, from perceptual to rational, and human beings understand the content of rationality through perceptual things (appearance, individual and concrete). Images in poetry are just perceptual things (visible, audible and tangible images). Therefore, teaching students to capture the image of poetry is the first step to understand the theme of poetry.
