The difference between impact drilling and punching equipment
Punching is a conventional CNC punch processing method, suitable for making small-diameter holes in thin metal plates. The principle of punching is to use a punch on a CNC punch machine to punch a hole in a metal plate with a circular or other shaped tool of a certain diameter. This process requires multiple processes, including positioning, perforation, trimming, cleaning, etc., and has high precision and surface quality. Punching is suitable for making smaller holes and holes with special shapes. Impact drilling is a method of creating large-diameter holes in metal plates, also called "punching", and is suitable for punching and cutting metal plates. The principle of impact hole forming is to use an impactor on the metal plate to form a hole in the plate. This method can complete the manufacturing of holes in a single operation and is faster, but the accuracy is lower and the surface quality is not as good as punching. Impact drilling is suitable for making larger holes and irregularly shaped holes.
