Architectural features of St. Paul's Cathedral

The architecture of St. Paul's Cathedral is unique, which not only inherits the traditional church architecture art, but also breaks through the design of ordinary churches. The main building is two two-story cruciform buildings, with a length of 150m and a width of 39m. In the middle of the cross building, a dome building with a height of11.4m is supported by an arch. The part under the dome above the cross building is a two-story circular building. Outside the corridor around the ground floor, there is a circle of circular stone pillars. On the top floor, there is a balcony surrounded by a stone fence, where people can stand and enjoy the urban landscape of London.

At the top of the dome, there is a big gold-plated cross. The front of the church faces west, and there is a corridor in front of it, which consists of six pairs of tall circular stone pillars. On the herringbone wall at the upper part of the main entrance, there are carved pictures of Sao Paulo going to Damascus to preach. At the top of the herringbone wall stands a stone statue of Sao Paulo. At both ends of the front of the church, there are a pair of symmetrical bell towers. In the bell tower in the northwest corner, a group of church bells with harmonious colors are hung; In the bell tower in the southwest corner, there is a big copper bell weighing 17 tons.
