What's the use of the patio on the house?
Courtyard refers to the open space between houses or between houses and inner walls of houses. That is, when there are houses on four sides, houses on three sides, walls on the other side or houses on both sides, and walls on the other side, the space in the middle.
No matter what form of patio architecture, it is a unique architectural form that has evolved and improved according to local conditions, customs, climate characteristics and living habits. It is a livable building that fully meets people's living needs.
Extended data:
The word "patio" comes from ancient books and originally refers to the terrain with high surrounding and low middle. For example, "The Art of War" says, "Wherever there are ravines, courtyards, dungeons, Tianluo and Tianluo, you must go there and stay away from it." As a form of architectural space, "patio" generally exists in traditional houses in China since Ming and Qing Dynasties.
When "patio" first appeared, there was no real evidence to prove it. However, because the wooden-bone-mud-wall house was born from the cave, the "well space" in the middle of the house evolved from the "pit well" in the cave, and logically it should be the "patio". Therefore, patios have existed in China since ancient times, probably no later than the quadrangles in Feng Chu Village, Qishan, Shaanxi Province in the Western Zhou Dynasty.
