What is the difference between Sinopec and PetroChina?

PetroChina and Sinopec are different as follows

1, different predecessors?

PetroChina's predecessor is the China National Petroleum Corporation, in charge of oil extraction, storage and transportation, basically upstream business; Sinopec's predecessor is the China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation, established in 1983, the main refining, petrochemicals, refined oil distribution business.

2, geographically different

Geographically different, PetroChina has more oil fields; Sinopec has more refineries. "PetroChina" and "Sinopec" are basically "north" and "south" divided, north and south. In other words, the north is PetroChina's territory and the south is Sinopec's territory. But there has been a breakthrough in the situation over the years, just as Netcom and Telecom have begun to move south and north.

3, different types of enterprises

PetroChina is a production company, PetroChina's full name is: China National Petroleum Corporation; Sinopec is a sales company, Sinopec's full name is: China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation.
