Preparation process of traditional Chinese medicine plaster

It is divided into three steps: soaking, decocting and collecting paste.

1, soaking:

Check all the medicines first, and then pick out the glue medicines and put them away. Then put all the other medicines into a clean casserole with the same volume, add a proper amount of water to soak the medicines to make them fully absorb and expand, then add water until it is about 10cm higher than the medicine surface, and soak for 24 hours.

2, decocting:

Fry the soaked materials on the fire. Boil with strong fire first, then with low fire for about 1h, and then with low fire for about 3h. At this time, the medicinal juice gradually becomes thick, so the medicinal juice can be filtered with gauze first, and then the original residue can be soaked with clear water. The decoction method is the same as before. This is the second decoction. When decocting for the third time, mix the decoctions of the first three times, then precipitate and filter, with as few dregs as possible.

3. Paste the collection:

Pour the steamed and melted glue and sugar (preferably crystal sugar and honey) into the clear paste, simmer and stir continuously until it can be pulled into a flag or dropped into beads (drop the paste into clear water to condense into beads but not spread).
