Shen Zhou, whose real name is Qin An, is from Xiangcheng, Changzhou County, Suzhou. This family lives in Changzhou, and their ancestors Shen Mengyuan, Shen Hengji and Shen are not officials. They have a rich collection of books, are famous for their poems, paintings and calligraphy, and take an active part in various literary activities.

In Ming Dynasty, Shen Zhou wrote a letter of friendship to Mr. Ying Long.

Shen Zhou, who has been educated since childhood, is extremely clever. I learned less from Chen Kuan, with a long length and a wide range, covering hundreds of classics, medical divination and even unofficial history legends. Poetry, calligraphy and painting have achieved something. Influenced by his family, he is also keen on the appreciation and collection of cultural relics. He is honest and modest, and should not take the imperial examination all his life. On the grounds of supporting relatives, he resigned many times and took pleasure in seclusion. Although Shen Zhou was called a hermit, he had close contacts with Suzhou scholars. He not only sings poetry and paints, but also often travels together and wanders around the beautiful lake near Suzhou.

This painting named "Lushan Mountain High" and a long poem were written by Shen Zhou Chenghua for three years (1467) to congratulate his teacher Chen Kuan on his 70th birthday. This painting depicts a towering valley with a series of peaks in the distance and a compact subdivision of Zhongshan. During the period, the waterfall ran down, the front of the rock wall was blank, and the side was slightly stained, showing the majestic water vapor of the valley.

Shen Zhou's fan is known for its elegance and taste, and this figure sketch is one of the representative works. On the right side of this picture frame is the court stone banana, and a scribe sits alone on the piano. Although you can see the sloping stone building on the left, the empty space above is full of five-character poems. The visual effect of poetry and painting is formed around the fan, and the composition is ingenious.
