What does it mean to "pursue the future with caution, and the people's morality will return to the thick"

This sentence comes from the Analects of Confucius: Zeng Zi said,' Be cautious about the future, and people's morality will return to thick.' Ceng Zi said: Treating parents' death with caution and remembering their ancestors will naturally foster good folk customs and moral norms. The author Ceng Zi was a great thinker at the end of the Warring States Period, and he wrote The Art of Xunzi.

Its significance is concentrated in three places, as follows:

Worrying about children is similar to dealing with major events for the country, and both require people to be cautious and attach importance to the elderly and traditions.

Good behavior needs good managers, and both the country and the family need rules.
