China traditional culture returns to English.

After reading the biography of Xu Beihong, I was deeply touched and admired. I like reading biographies, from which I can see my own shadow and find spiritual encouragement. Before, I devoted myself to admiring the talents that attracted worldwide attention in the western world, such as Da Vinci, Van Gogh, Monet and other great artists. But after carefully understanding the stories of famous people in China, I found that China art is no less than western art, and I like it very much. When I am mature, I know more about tolerance and understanding.

I have to criticize myself. I can't just immerse myself in western culture and art, but I should return to the embrace of China culture, try to accept it, have confidence in national culture, and enhance my sense of identity and pride in China culture. In this fragmented era, in this impetuous and superficial era of the outside world, it is actually not bad, but I know too little, too one-sided, preconceived, habit-driven, and don't understand, so I completely deny it. For a while, I felt that I understood it. It's funny to think about it.

Xu Beihong is great. His contribution to China lies not only in his shocking and priceless works of art, but also in his indelible contribution to the cause of art education in China.

Among Xu Beihong's works, "Running Horse" is my favorite, from which my pen name "Dark Horse" comes, while Leo is my English name, and the combination of Chinese and Western is my direction. Xu Beihong is a perfect example of the combination of Chinese and western arts, and a mentor and friend in spirit and thought.

I am eager to return to China culture from Xu Beihong and learn more about China's art. I am going to read the biographies of Qi Baishi, Huang and Zhang Daqian and get to know Pan Tianshou, Li Keran and other great figures in China's art world. The works of these great painters are auctioned at a sky-high price of tens of millions and hundreds of millions.
