Plate movement

The Red Sea is located at the boundary where the Indian Ocean Plate and the African Plate are stretching each other, and will become larger and larger as the plates move, and may become a new ocean in the future.

The Mediterranean Sea is located in the zone where the Asian-European and African plates collide, and belongs to the boundary of extinction, so it will become smaller and smaller. It may disappear in the very distant future.
