Introduction of Fengjing Ancient Town
There are two main streets in the old town, one is called South Street in the south, Middle Street in the center, and North Street in the north (although there are three names for the segments, they are all connected), and the other one is Peace Street, which intersects at Fengjing Three Bridges, forming a "D" shape. Fengjing Sanqiao is the center of the town, where the two rivers meet, and you can see the Qingfeng Bridge, Zhuxing Bridge and Beifeng Bridge at the same time.
Fengjing is the birthplace of Jinshan farmers' paintings, and you can enjoy a painting with local flavor at the Jinshan Farmers' Painting Exhibition Center in Shengtang Lane on South Street. There are many painting galleries and ancestral homes of famous painters in the ancient town. The Ding Cong Cartoon Exhibition Hall on North Main Street houses furniture used by Mr. Ding, while on the second floor you can see satirical caricatures, which portray the characters in a perfect way. The Lv Jiren Gallery on Heping Street has paintings by Chen Yifei's classmate Lv Jiren, and Cheng Shifa's ancestral home has many of Mr. Cheng's Chinese watercolors.
The average visitor enters through the main entrance on the south side of the town, walks down to South Street, and begins to slowly stroll through the town along the river. Walking northeast from South Street, you will pass Zhihe Bridge and arrive at Zhongdajie. In the middle of the street can see the head of the Wu-Yue boundary mark, standing boundary monument, in front of an inconspicuous river is the former Wu-Yue boundary line. Continuing to the northeast, after the Fengjing Three Bridges, there is the North Street. During the peak season and holidays, there are free traditional drama performances on the theatre, and you can pick a seat by the window in the Chensha Teahouse opposite to the theatre to sit down, sip tea and listen to the drama at the same time, which is very enjoyable. Along the street to the end of the visit Cheng Shifa ancestral home, and finally, across the bridge to the other side of the river to the production of the street, there is a modern fire agency site - the East District Fire Council.
