Navigation and operation requirements of PBRNAV RNP

the operational capability of p>RNP and RNAV is rapidly becoming the standard requirement for airlines. The performance level of RNP determines whether it can operate in a larger airspace around the world. The operation of RNAV improves the flexibility of navigation and allows more economical operation, thus directly improving the economic benefits for airlines.

RNP concept

The concept of RNP was put forward to ICAO by the FANS Committee in 1991 and 1992. In 1994, ICAO officially promulgated the RNP Manual (Doc 9613-AN/937), which defined RNP as the navigation performance accuracy required by an aircraft when it was running in a certain route, airspace or area. RNP is a new concept under the development and application of new communication, navigation and surveillance technologies. In practical application, the concept of RNP affects both airspace and aircraft. As for the requirements of airspace characteristics, when the corresponding navigation performance accuracy of the aircraft meets it, it can operate in the airspace. The aircraft is required to fly in 95% of the flight time, and the airborne navigation system should keep the aircraft flying in a limited airspace.
