How the moon halo is formed
"Moon halo", is the light through the high altitude cirrus clouds, by the cold crystal refraction, so that the seven-color composite light is dispersed into the inner infrared violet halo or arc of light, around the moon around the formation.
The lunar halo is formed by the high altitude ice crystals (very tiny water particles frozen and formed a solid) refraction of moonlight and the resulting aperture.
