Plot introduction:

This is the first large-scale TV documentary produced by China CCTV with the theme of the history of a world power.

China is moving towards the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The prosperity of China will create a great event in the history of human development and have a far-reaching impact on the world pattern. The catch-up of 160 years in modern times has made it even more necessary for us to explore our own road to becoming a powerful country.

Several generations of leaders in China have repeatedly stressed that our development should absorb and draw lessons from the achievements of civilization of all mankind. Then, in the process of China's modernization, what kind of mentality and attitude should we take towards the countries that have led the world trend in modern history? What lessons can we learn from the peaceful development of China?

On June 24th, 2003, 165438+ China * * the Political Bureau of the Central Committee held the ninth collective study. The research content is:/kloc-the rise and fall history of nine countries in the world since the 5th century. Since then, other party and government departments at all levels have also carried out research on this history many times.

Based on this background, CCTV launched 12 TV series "The Rise of Great Powers" to interpret the history of the rise of world powers since15th century and explore the reasons behind its prosperity.

Nine countries appeared in different historical periods in modern times, which had a great influence on the development of human society. They are: Portugal, Spain, Netherlands, Britain, France, Germany, Japan, Russia and the United States.

The rise of great powers is based on the development history of the above nine countries.

The whole film *** 12 focuses on the rise of great powers, with an intensive period of 45-50 minutes each, according to the approximate time sequence of the rise of nine countries.

Record analysis:

History has not proved whether there is another way for the rise of great powers. The "clash of civilizations" and "currency war" seem to give some hints that the rise of great powers-at least the consolidation of their status-has begun to have another way to choose, but unfortunately, conspiracy theories and zero-sum games are still unavoidable.

As we all know, after China's social development goal is changed to focus on economic construction and the development mode is adjusted to encourage some people to get rich first, the reality of China's development often runs counter to the original intention. People's development and environmental protection are often ignored because economic construction is the center of understanding and realization, which will encourage some people to get rich first and deviate from the polarization between the rich and the poor and mutual hatred in Zhumen. The prevalence of pragmatism is not only the deformity of social development, but also the decline of ethics in the whole society. It is urgent and increasingly important to regain and rebuild values. The moral war came at the right time. Its new "four-dimensional" values not only inherit the core values of China traditional culture "benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom and trust", but also absorb the content of modern values "fairness and justice". Although it is not very innovative, integration is also a kind of creation, which should help unite people in society.
