What does EOS on Canon camera mean?
Canon digital camera: Canon is an old camera manufacturer in Japan. At the beginning of the 20th century, Japan's camera industry was very backward. At that time, most people used foreign products. Therefore, in order to make domestic (of course, Japan's own production) cameras, several Japanese young people began to imitate German high-end cameras, and successfully copied German Leica cameras in a small workshop in Tokyo in 1934, and also developed the first Japanese 35mm focal plane shutter camera KWANON (the Roman word for Guanyin in Japanese).
As an unshakable leader in the field of digital imaging, Canon is the first manufacturer in the world to integrate scattered camera automation components into a complete functional system. In the initial stage of application to this system, EOS was added to the model name in order to show its technical strength, which has continued to this day.
