What are the five major conservatories of music in China?

1. China Conservatory of Music, located in Beijing, is a music institution of higher learning which is based on Chinese studies and has unique characteristics of China's music education and research, and trains high-level professionals engaged in the research, creation, performance and education of China's music theory;

2. The Central Conservatory of Music, called Yangyin for short, is located in the capital Beijing. It is an institution of higher learning directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), the only national key university among the national art institutions, and 2 1 1 engineering construction institution.

3.Xi 'an Conservatory of Music, referred to as Yin Xi for short, is located in Xi, the ancient capital of the world famous historical city. Founded in June 1949, the school is the only independent high-level music college in northwest China.

4. Wuhan Conservatory of Music, located in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, is one of the nine independent conservatories in China and the only independent music college in Central China. It is a master's degree awarding unit and the first batch of pilot units of national master's degree education in literature;

5. Sichuan Conservatory of Music, called Chuanyin for short, is located in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. It is a provincial full-time undergraduate college with music as its main feature. It is one of the nine independent professional higher music colleges in China and has the right to award master's degrees.
